Weird? I’m afraid that any national list with 100+ titles from a country other than USA, UK, France or Italy is going to look weird to foreign audiences. I would also appreciate lists from other countries, even though at first most titles are meaningless to me or even not yet rated at IMDb. Exploring the unknown world is a great experience. Big thanks to Erik and Piet for the credit, it’s really nice to begin a Monday reading words like these.
Personally I feel that if there isn't one real source for a list then it shouldn't be listed here. This Spanish list isn't a real "list"...some dude just sent you 212 Spanish films he found in books and on IMDb. It's a list alright but it holds no merit. I could scrounge up a bunch of films that have a single connection and it would technically be a list but probably not one worth posting here.
Needless to say I have hidden this "list"...thanks again for that feature!
On the Roadmap of this site there is a coming feature which will allow users to create and share lists. sortile9io did a nice job creating the "A Taste of Spain" list, but the checks on that list should not be taken into account when determining the Top profiles list. Again sortile9io did a nice job but you can't put his list next to lists of well known and respected lists, rather put it in the new category of personal lists by users...
I would rather see a list of great spanish films compiled by film critics, even if it was only 50 titles.
It would probably en up looking like a big Buñuel, Almodovar, Carlos Saura, Berlanga and Erice Love fest. But the quality of the films would be better.
This list is full of movies that have a rating of 5 or 6 and lower.
I think you’re right, it should not be next to respected and well known lists. So, let’s remove it. Or, as jarmel says, save it for a separate category with personal lists by users and do not take it into account for top profiles. Anyway, I think it is not fair to say that it is a personal or even random list. They’re not my preferred films, as you can see I haven’t watched most of them, I have no particular interest in publicize them and I’m not especially fond of Spanish cinema indeed. They’re not random, I’ve taken great pains trying to match the reviews of many critics, historians and audiences, and I’m sure it is a pretty decent job. Take a look at any serious reference on Spanish cinema, and you’ll see that it is true. But I understand your point. No need to ruin the site, go to the top 50-100 film fest instead, that will be the right option. Sorry for that.
Isn't it strange that you display the top users for every list below it, even though most (all?) top users have seen 100% of the list? In other words: Who cares?
I think you did a good job of putting these sources together, but maybe you should have narrowed it down to about a hundred films. For instance you could have gotten rid of all the films with horrible ratio's on imdb, or worse no ration at all. You know, maybe focus on the big names.

What amazes me more is that there is no list for best African movies...like if there is no cinema in that whole continent!!samlowery
Don't let the fine folks at the Ouagadougou Panafrican Film and Television Festival hear you say that.http://www.fespaco.bf/

I find that navigation isn't as smooth without the sub navigation -- but that might just be meKnaldskalle
I like the new changes (and fixes), thank you! I find the Spanish list a little weird as well, but I guess that's just me.Kasparius
Nice addition. A lot of Spanish directors deserve more recognition.AtomicSquid

We will resolve the issue with the Spanish list very soon, hopefully to the satisfaction of you all. Expect some update soon!Showing items 1 – 15 of 16
