I wonder why filmmakers of that time didn't put much effort in BB's films - i guess they thought that her unique appeal would be enough for average viewer to like the film...
''La verite'' is the best one - Clouzot shows that he is more serious filmmaker than Vadim and especially Godard.
I found myself siding with the old timey, conservative, lawyers which was obviously not intended. BB’s annoying, vapid, inconsiderate, heartless, manipulative, simple, and anti-intellectual character annoyed me to no end.

Oh boy, Did I ever hate this film. Painful to finish....well made though.
