Superbly acted by Meredith (one of my favorite actors, if only for his range and his frequent appearances on The Twilight Zone) and Chaney, Jr. (he of the horror genre fame), this is a truly heartbreaking tale. It also contains some excellent supporting performances and is overall a great adaptation of a classic American novel. 9 years 2 months ago -
