I remember this one from TV when I was a kid. I'd love to see it again today.

Blast from the past! A film one would never be able to remember properly without the power of the internet [see also The Spirit Is Willing (1967)!

I remember seeing this a few times on TV as a kid (late 70s) and thinking it very cool and risque. I do wonder if I'd have the patience for it today. :)

Includes the wonderful quote: "You don't know how charming it is to find an intelligent woman who does stupid things."

Trite (and maybe even tripe).

Thought it was a gem. Great dialogue from Arthur Laurents.

Hated it, and presume it was only the inclusion of Laura Linney that possessed me to add this to my Lovefilm list.

Unique look at the Holocaust from a young boy's perspective.

My viewing note says: "Some good, saucy dialogue!".

The genre is not usually my cuppa, but I thought this simply a *delightful* film (not a word I use lightly!). Not what I expected, and highly-relatable.

Best quote to make me laugh out loud in a long time:

Her: 'We argue all the time, we're like Sid and Nancy'
Him: 'Sid stabbed Nancy. I'm not like Sid'
Her: 'Noo, *I'm* Sid'

LOVED the cast, but didn't fancy the film at all.

The brief scene in which 'Frère Jacques' turns boogie-woogie has become a favourite!

Beautiful to look at, but very long-winded.

Very powerful film; one can imagine that it is likely a very accurate portrayal of life as / with an alcoholic. Timeless...

Excellent little picture, with fantastic acting/actors and dialogue, let down by attempts at 'arty' camera work and flash photography.
