Absolutely the best graphic novel to film conversion I've ever seen. It's so true to the novel it's almost unbelievable. The extended versions are even more like the novel and broken up like the novels. The theatrical cut is pretty good but is more like a non-linear loosely connected movie. It's hard to consider style and substance because the art and stories are taken verbatim from the novel to film.

I think this movie is truly perfect and flawless in every aspect. I first saw the movie in theaters in 2009 and hated it. I was lost and bored. With each viewing I become more and more infatuated with every nuance and detail put into the film. The cinematography, the score, the acting, the plot, the dialogue... I can't find a flaw. I think the biggest connection is with the dialogue. Tarantino really has a knack for building scenes with extended dialogue but I believe it all has built towards this film. The spoiler is so engrossing that you genuinely can't look away and for such a simple scene, you can't pull yourself back for the edge of your seat. I believe it is Tarantino's magnum opus and based on Aldo Raine's final line I think he knew the same. I don't think Tarantino will ever make a movie better than Inglourious Basterds and I am completely ok with that.

The chat logs should have been narrated. The awkward silences just kill the flow of an otherwise very interesting and intriguing documentary. Very creepy and bizarre story. One thing I did not like was that spoiler

This movie is so bizarre, exploitative and sort of hard to watch. It's the abnormal side of humanity, people lost in a completely different era... maybe even universe. You can feel each person's broken view of life, absolute pain, all rolled up and pouring out of each person, even without the majority of their stories ever being revealed. An interesting view of the celebrity stalker, who they are, who they surround themselves with, etc. Definitely worth the watch.

I can not get over how hilarious this movie is. I've been in that same place but watching how much denial takes place, how hypocritical you can be and the silly things you get into in the process of trying to forget is hilarious. Fantastic movie.

I absolutely loved the beginning, it was thrilling, interesting, provocative... but it quickly turned very boring and very predictable. I wanted it to end so bad about halfway through but after hearing it was such a great movie I kept going. It did not pay off. I was miserable by the end.

As TomServo said, a very great film but Allen's monologue makes this an essential film. Life changing.

I hated this. Seemed like an extended roasting session of the so-called new "rat pack" set in the apocalypse. Boring with very few funny moments.

I think this is the best drama TV show I've ever seen. Even it's flaws give it character. I've enjoyed watching this and recommending it to everyone I know and then talking to them about it. I hope season 2 is able to keep the steam and even improve upon the few problems of season 1. The first two episodes start out slow but around the third it took off and I couldn't stop watching. A great, diverse cast that really give life to their characters. There's no prejudice in the content dealt with throughout the episodes - everything from racism to drug abuse to poverty to sexual identity. Things can get a little cheesy at times but the show is always able to recover quickly. Never been so hooked to a television show in my life. Highly recommended.

Great acting but it is indeed overrated. Scenes that actually matter and should build the protagonists' relationship are blubbered through like someone who is embarrassed or nervous about the content they're discussing, or in this case, portraying. Scenes that do not add anything to the movie drag on longer than necessary. Only about three scenes made me feel like the protagonists actually cared about each other. Good cinematography and the movie was still able to give the vibe of a potentially great love story but it just didn't happen and that's truly a shame.

One of the craziest movies I've ever seen. I completely enjoyed it and will be adding it to my collection. My only complaint is everything that went unanswered but I think that's Wheatley's style after viewing A Field in England which was a lot more of a "what did I just watch?" than this film. I felt the length was perfect, cinematography and editing were excellent, the ending was insane and the characters were, in my opinion, very human and well casted. 8/10

A film I put off seeing forever which has moved itself into one of my favorite movies. I truly enjoyed it and see its influence everywhere.

I think this is a movie you'd have to pretty much know you'd like before you watch it. It is cheesy and '2 indie 4 U' but it's a sweet little tale for romantics. I liked it but it is definitely forgettable.
