The modern embodiment of the trolley problem, Eye in the Sky encourages the viewer to consider both sides of the argument. Choose inaction, resulting in the possible death of many innocents; or action, resulting in the certain death of a single innocent? Refreshingly, the director Gavin Hood (Ender's Game) chooses not to portray the conundrum quite as simply as other military thrillers, with the military vs the politicians. With humanity on both sides, enjoy strong performances from Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman, and Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips, and also billed to appear in the remake of Blade Runner). Which would you choose?
Sounds great! Phrasing it a little more constructively than Dukefrukem, we would really appreciate more work on the search engine! It really doesn't work very well. Thanks
A very well made and horrible film, about a mentally ill and selfish man taking advantage of various women. If you look over your shoulder at the audience behind you, you'll see them squirming, trying to retreat into their seats to avoid the agonising onslaught from the screen. Thoroughly uncomfortable, and I was in a terrible mood for the rest of the day. Five stars.
