Sooo, Mera has to manipulate wine bottles to takedown guys that literally have water in their suits? Besides, she could just dehydrate anyone by taking their body water as she did with Arthur.

And Amber, bless her heart, can’t act; or rather, Wan can’t direct actors. Even Nicole was hamming it up when she took a dive at the start.

Wan also has no sense of pacing and constantly misses beats. The electronic score is out of place and the song choices have all the tact of the lesser TV crime dramas.

The story does a better job of cramming as much in as it does than I thought possible, but the dialogue is pretty funny for the wrong reasons.

The only positive is comic accurate costumes and decent FX, not enough to carry a film by far. A completly cheesy schlockfest.

Final thought: Manta’s plasma beams can make a mountain top explode or melt steel, but can’t even burn Arthur’s shirt off?! Lot’s of disappointed ladies in the audience.

How long after the wedding does Wild Bill get shot in the back?

Charlie Day’s facial hair is darker in the centre under his nose compared to the lighter edges so it looks like he has a toothbrush moustache the whole time, making him look like Hitler on meth throughout.

The biggest problem with Michael Bay films is that every character, regardless of background, talks like a fourteen year old trying to impress the older kids.

"Ready to get wet, Dr. Adams?"

I wonder how many times Reynolds has pulled that line since?

Being from NZ, I couldn't escape seeing this. For me it is the lesser of Taika's four films to date. His brand of humour didn't work in this setting for me.

That Cadbury Flake ad hasn't played in years.

The first half is hysterical, then it shifts gears dramatically in the second.

Not well balanced but entertaining.

Shere Khan was almost perfect.

He had so much screen presence. So intimidating yet so human (animal). Every second with him was enthralling.

The one thing I would have changed was getting Elba to speak in 'Received Pronunciation' like Ben Kingsley, who was also fantastic as Bagheera.

Kai was the least threatening villain of the three. Lacked any memorable fight scenes. Didn't like any of the other pandas.

Pretty Woman? Is this the best fantasy list they could find?

A beautifully cynical film about fleeting attraction, the homogenised modern world, the illusion of individuality, and the despair of the human condition.

Stop saying "atoll" if you can't afford to film at an actual atoll.

The first half is hysterically funny and the second disquietingly disconsolate.

Stands out as one of the most memorable from 2015 for me.

This movie really is a shocker.

Why do the bodies he possesses develop a limp? It makes no sense. It's a physical condition specific to his original body and shouldn't be transferable.

This should also be tagged as romance, albeit an unconventional one.
