Half of the movie buys into Han's original characterization, and explains how he got to his nihilistic state at the beginning of the original trilogy. The other half is apologist, enough said to avoid spoilers. I enjoyed the action set pieces, some of which are truly innovative. Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson are great. The lead and Donald Glover are enjoyable, and I liked it as an individual adventure movie, which is how the "Star Wars Story" films should be evaluated, imo. Some nods to the originals were fun, some were lame. Had fun, 3.5/5
Truly mediocre movie. One of the most average I've ever seen. Keep 2 things in mind while watching it: "This is okay" and "Kurt Russell's pretty cool I guess".

Gonna have to agree with Ashrzr here, plus the fight scenes were just ridiculous extreme closeups over and over.
