A really sweet film that Netflix seems to have buried amongst lots of rubbish. I don't know why they're not promoting it; it's nice and fluffy and has some fantastic music. It would be a good one to turn into a series - lots of characters that could do with fleshing out.
I needed some mindless entertainment and this was it, having last seen it when I was teeny tiny! Unusually, there is not a lot of peril, and the classic physical comedy from Conway and Knotts is just stupid fun. I will try to watch the sequel at some point soon when I next need to not use my brain. (In a good way.)
I found this so boring and all the fight scenes tedious and gratuitous. Struggled to not switch it off many times, determined to make it through. Maybe I needed to see it on a big screen - or on another day. Ah well...
I remember seeing this when it was new, and finding it deeply disturbing; it still is - especially with the awareness that attitudes of so many horrid bigots have still not changed. Thank you for your courage, Ruby!
One of the stupidest flms I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot. Not to mention the totally pointless, gratuitous homophobic slur mid-way through which ruined it for me (just like the sexist last scene in the first film did). Pfft. No.
I don't know how true to reality this film is, and in this case I don't care - I loved it! Wonderfully light and fluffy; beautiful costumes, sets and cinematography. Exactly what I needed.
Properly tense, with my shoulders up to my ears the entire time. I undoubtedly missed some nuances due to watching with FR and NL subtitles, neither of which I speak fluently. But very good nonetheless.

The dialogue is ridiculous, the casting makes no sense and all the women squeak - still, if a brainless Christmas movie is what you want, here you go!Movie comment on The Apple Dumpling Gang

Cute film! (Horrible, horrible children.) I'm surprised I'm only just seeing this for the first time - has all the makings of an annual classic.Movie comment on The Greatest Showman

Did not like this one: most of the characters are selfish and terrible humans. I found it difficult to get through the whole thing. Bummer.Movie comment on Yalda
