All I expected was a fabulous Ewan McGregor so I was pleasantly surprised when a wild Stanley Tucci appeared. Bill Nighy('s voice) was also nice.
Pretty poorly written characters, but I enjoyed the film anyway. Even the princess didn't annoy me, not one bit. She was actually pretty decent for a damsel in distress.
I liked it more than I expected. I'm always a little prejudiced against crime and gangster films because they tend to make me anxious and uneasy. This one was fun and not too dark for me.
Very sweet film, in a way. I really like Cate Blanchett and she was great here. Giovanni Ribisi was very convincing, and Hilary Swank's hair was absolutely horrible :D
Great writing & acting, and really wonderful music. It's one of those films I get really excited about while watching. Also Marie was a real sweet bad ass and the ending was brilliant!
Really very stupid and boring. I don't even like Channing Tatum, at all, so... that's it. Cody Horn's performance as Brooke was awkward and obnoxious and the whole movie was just... not well written.
Quite honestly, I don't care how good or bad this objectively speaking is. It works for me and I have no complaints about the changes in the story or the stretching of it (mainly because it means more things for me to see).
I have always been unsure if I prefer Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit as a book (but to be honest, Roverandom is a constant challenger for both), and dwarves are pretty much my favourite of the mythical races, so... Maybe I am unable to be anything but excited beyond reason.
Who cares though. I love this. Oh yeah, the acting was superb. I was especially impressed Ken Stott who has the loveliest, most emotional eyes, and Aidan Turner whose expressions are priceless.
The music was way too loud sometimes and made it kind of hard to hear what the characters were saying, but I didn't think this was boring or anything. Not very great, but interesting enough to watch once.

Absolutely horrible yet somehow awesome. My mind wasn't really fucked though.I have to confess I mostly loved Lee Pace. He's been one of my favourites for a couple of years now and it's nice to see him... with red eyes.
