This is my personal toplist of Japanese films. I compiled it from +/- 1400 Japanese feature films and documentaries I watched so far. All titles received a rating of at least 8 out of 10.

The edition presented here is the December 2022-version of this list. It's the 5th update since the original list consisting of 300 titles was published on the Dutch website MovieMeter in June 2015.
